Pair of Classical Greek-Style Decorative Wall Plates

₹10,000

A pair of vintage-style black decorative plates adorned with classical figurative scenes, warm ochre highlights, and a gilt Greek key meander border.

Rendered on a matte black ground accented with warm ochre, gold, and muted terracotta tones, this pair of circular decorative plates draws inspiration from classical antiquity. Each plate is enclosed by a geometric Greek key (meander) border framing detailed figurative scenes. One plate illustrates a banquet or symposium tableau with a reclining figure attended by a draped companion, while the second portrays draped classical figures alongside an armed warrior holding a shield and spear. These pieces showcase an authentic timeworn patina, featuring visible paint flaking, edge chips, and surface speckling that lend genuine character to their presentation. Well-suited for wall mounting or styling upon display stands, they bring refined historic charm to a library shelf, study, or salon gallery wall.
